Suri Fibre

The fibre of Suri alpacas is coveted by the fashion industry and cherished by the hand spinner. It has the softness of cashmere, the lustre of silk, the warmth and featherweight of goose down, the durability of wool and accepts colour dyeing. Suri fibre blends well with silk and wool, and the yarn can be knit, crocheted, or woven.

Our top quality fibre is spun and hand woven into a range of shawls, scarves, belts and other items. We have “one-offs” in a variety of natural colours—some with added accents in our naturally-dyed suri fibre using dyes such as indigo.
